Our last soccer session
So Reagan hasn't been really enjoying soccer too much. So we thought we would try this past Sunday, just her & I and see how that goes. Well she did the drills okay; but once it came to them playing a little game, that was a different story. She didn't cry or anything, but she didn't participate (well on the sidelines when it was just her & I, she did) or want to play. So, we're done with soccer for now. We'll maybe try again next fall when she is a year older.

Reagan's Soccer Starts Session - #2
So we missed Reagan's first soccer session while we were in Arizona, we were bummed about it but thanks to Brandon for taking her and assisting her during her first session! Basically the program is just to teach the kids the basics of soccer without the pressure of games, etc. They learn some of the basic skills with the parents assisting for 5 sessions then it will end in a possible attempt of a festival game type session, we'll see how that goes. So far Reagan participates but doesn't talk to anyone there or anything. She is much slower at the practices then she is at home but oh well; it's her first team activity. The program is called Soccer Starts and it's for 4 - 3 yrs old to prepare them for the U5 program.

Arizona trip - Sunday
We were up early this morning to hit the road, we left the hotel around 6:30 am. Not too long into our drive we had to take a detour because they had a whole section of the highway closed! That could not happen at home, even on a weekend. We headed towards Sedona, but went through a small town called Cottonwood first and then took a "back" road into Sedona. Sedona is very pretty and nice. We ran into lots of UGA fans there and even saw some cars with flags on them. We took some of the scenic drives and got some pictures. We didn't really walk any trails too much, just walked down to a creek (which is when I lost my phone service, so I missed the call about Reagan's first soccer practice!). Some of those roads were very interesting to drive. We came through Flagstaff to where we are staying the next two nights, Williams and we were able to drive on Route 66 some. Flagstaff actually looks more like a city that we're used to than Tempe & Sedona does. The houses in Flagstaff actually have siding on them, most of the houses we've seen so far in Tempe, Scottsdale & Sedona were all concrete or a dark colored stucco to match the rocks and desert. We're staying in Williams which is about an hour from the Grand Canyon and it also has part of Route 66 running through it. This town was the last town to have the new highway added through it in place of Route 66. So we plan to eat at Cruisers on Route 66 tonight. We'll be up early tomorrow to head to the Grand Canyon and spend all day there.
Here are a few pictures that we took around Sedona.
